Falcons Open Season in Style: Folsom Lake Beach Volleyball Sweeps Opening Day with Two 4–1 Wins

The Folsom Lake College Falcons couldn't have asked for a better start to the season.

In their opening day debut on the sand, the Falcons went a perfect 2–0, earning back-to-back 4–1 team victories over Butte College Roadrunners and Shasta College Knights. With strong serving, steady defense, and depth across every court, Folsom Lake set the tone early for what looks to be an exciting spring campaign.

From the No. 1 pair to the bottom of the lineup, the Falcons showcased chemistry, composure, and confidence — a complete team performance to open the year.

Folsom Lake wasted no time making a statement in the season opener, winning four of five courts and taking control early.

At the top, Lutsiv/Vorster delivered a dominant performance, rolling to a 21–11, 21–8 win to set the tone.

The momentum continued with Giordano/Hammer at No. 2 (21–15, 21–12) and Quintanar/Triplett at No. 3, who were nearly untouchable in a 21–5, 21–6 sweep.

Court 4 provided the day's biggest battle. Ayers/Pham showed resilience, bouncing back after dropping the second set to win the third convincingly, 15–4, sealing the team victory in gritty fashion.

Carrying the momentum into match two, the Falcons once again showed their depth and consistency.

Lutsiv/Vorster and Giordano/Hammer controlled the top courts with straight-set wins, with the No. 2 pair cruising 21–7, 21–9.

Quintanar/Triplett added another strong outing at No. 3 (21–13, 21–16), while Ayers/Hyer clinched the dual at No. 4 with a composed 21–19, 21–15 victory.

A Strong Start on the Sand

Opening day often sets the tone for a season — and the Falcons made theirs clear. Folsom Lake displayed depth, balance, and confidence across the lineup, with multiple pairs going undefeated and several matches won decisively.

Two duals. Two wins.
A 2–0 start and plenty of momentum.

If opening day is any indication, the Falcons are ready to make noise this spring.
