Falcons Show Grit and Growth in Busy Week of Beach Volleyball Action

The Folsom Lake College Falcons battled through a demanding stretch of competition, picking up hard-fought wins and gaining valuable experience against strong opponents in a week filled with close duals and competitive pair play.

Wednesday at Sacramento & Cosumnes River

Folsom Lake opened the week with a 3–2 win over Hartnell, highlighted by clutch performances at the top of the lineup. The No. 1 pair of Lutsiv/Vorster delivered a tight straight-set victory, while Quintanar/Triplett and Ayers/Giordano also earned key wins to secure the dual.

Later that day, the Falcons faced a tough test against Fresno City College Rams, falling 5–0. Despite the scoreline, several pairs pushed sets and gained important experience against a deep Rams squad.

Friday Duals: Feather River & Siskiyous

On Friday, Folsom Lake continued its competitive play. Against Feather River, the Falcons came up short, 4–1, but not before Lutsiv/Vorster earned a gritty three-set win at the No. 1 spot.

The Falcons closed the day on a high note with a 3–2 victory over Siskiyous. Wins from Lutsiv/Vorster, Giordano/Hammer, and Ayers/Pham showcased the team's depth and resilience, as multiple matches went the distance in another tightly contested dual.

Looking Ahead

The Falcons now turn their attention to their next home event on Friday, February 20, where they will host De Anza College Dons at 11:00 a.m. PST, followed by Lassen College Cougars at 1:00 p.m. PST.

With momentum building and key pairs continuing to shine, Folsom Lake looks ready for another exciting day of beach volleyball. Fans are encouraged to come out, enjoy the action, and support the Falcons on the sand.
