Falcons Earn 3-2 Victory Over De Anza in Competitive Beach Showdown

The beach volleyball team secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over De Anza College, winning three of five courts in an action-packed dual.

At the No. 1 position, Lutsiv/Vorster (FLC) set the tone with a strong 21-18, 21-15 win over Bell/Cakisic (DAC), giving the Falcons an early edge. De Anza responded at No. 2 as Alper/Quach (DAC) defeated Giordano/Hammer (FLC) 21-13, 21-16 to even the team score.

The Falcons regained control at No. 3, where Quintanar/Triplett (FLC) earned a solid 21-16, 21-18 victory over Balderas/Barajas (DAC) in a tightly contested match. Folsom Lake extended its lead at No. 4 behind a dominant performance from Ayers/Pham (FLC), who cruised to a 21-12, 21-4 win over Dalzochia/Valasquez (DAC).

De Anza closed out the day with a comeback win at No. 5. After dropping the opening set 15-21, Braceros/Sugrue (DAC) rallied to defeat Christy/Ujimori (FLC) 21-8, 15-6 in the final two sets.

With the 3-2 victory, the Falcons demonstrated depth and resilience across the lineup, capturing key straight-set wins to secure the team triumph.
