Falcons Dominate the Sand: Folsom Lake Beach Volleyball Rolls Through Conference Play

The Folsom Lake beach volleyball team put together an impressive stretch of performances over the past two weeks, showcasing depth, dominance, and consistency across multiple conference matchups.

The Falcons opened with a commanding 5-0 sweep over Marin at Spring Hills Church, setting the tone early with decisive victories on every court. The No. 1 pair of Lutsiv and Vorster led the way with a dominant 21-4, 21-12 win, while Giordano and Hammer followed with a strong straight-set victory. Quintanar and Triplett, along with Ayers and Pham, continued the momentum with convincing performances, and Christy and Myhre capped off the sweep in emphatic fashion.

Later that day, Folsom Lake showed its resilience by edging Santa Rosa Junior College in a tightly contested 3-2 match, proving the Falcons can win both comfortably and under pressure.

The momentum carried into March 27, when the Falcons traveled to face Sacramento City and delivered another statement performance in a 5-0 sweep. Lutsiv and Vorster once again set the standard at the top, while Giordano and Hammer battled through a competitive match to secure the win. The duo of Triplett and Quintanar showcased grit by winning a three-set battle, and Pham and Ayers closed strong with a decisive victory. The fifth court sealed the sweep with a forfeit, completing another dominant outing.

Folsom Lake wasn't finished yet, turning around to take down Sierra 4-1 later that day at the Sac Softball Complex. The Falcons continued to demonstrate their depth and versatility, with multiple pairs stepping up to secure the team victory.
