Bio
Coach Bob Kittle steps into the role of Head Coach for the Folsom Lake College Falcons, bringing an extraordinary legacy of championship success and player development spanning three decades. Coach Kittle is fresh off leading Delta College to a Super Regional Appearance in 2025 and guiding the Delta pitching staff to the 2024 State Finals and achieving the state's fourth-best ERA. A masterful architect of pitching excellence, Kittle's programs have maintained an unprecedented 17-year streak of sub-4.0 ERA performances – the longest such run in California. His remarkable career includes over 22 playoff appearances and 11 league championships across multiple institutions, cementing his reputation as one of California's most successful baseball coaches.
Before joining Delta, Kittle's impact was immediate at West Valley College, where his expertise produced the 2023 Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year and three All-Conference selections. His most notable tenure came at Cabrillo College, where he became the program's all-time winningest coach during his 14-year reign. Under his leadership, Cabrillo reached eight playoffs, captured three conference titles, and made six Super Regional appearances, while helping launch the careers of three future MLB pitchers and guiding over 150 players to four-year colleges. Kittle's influence extends beyond the collegiate ranks. During his transformative 13-year tenure at Santa Cruz High School (1997-2009), he led the program to eight league titles and a Section championship, while sending 58 players to college baseball programs, including 12 to Division I institutions. His exceptional impact on Santa Cruz athletics earned him induction into the school's Hall of Fame in 2021. His coaching journey began at Downey High School (1994-96), where he demonstrated his versatility coaching football, basketball, and baseball.
Kittle's collegiate coaching career includes successful stops at Whittier College and Springfield College, where he earned his Master's in Sports Management. As a player, he was a standout first and third baseman during his four-year career at Whittier College, where he also earned his B.A. in History.
A devoted father to daughters Jordan (25) and Taylor (21), Kittle brings both championship pedigree and proven leadership to the FLC program, poised to build upon the FLC winning tradition.
