Falcons Show Fight in Back-to-Back Conference Games
The Folsom Lake College Falcons continued to battle through conference play with resilience and effort over their last two matchups, showing flashes of offensive balance, defensive intensity, and a never-quit mentality against two of the top teams in the standings — Cosumnes River College Hawks and Santa Rosa Junior College Bear Cubs.
While the results didn't fall their way, the Falcons displayed toughness and growth that continues to build a foundation as the season moves forward.

Folsom Lake came out aggressive on the road, jumping to a 38–31 halftime lead behind strong defense and efficient scoring. The Falcons controlled the tempo early, contesting shots and turning stops into transition opportunities.
Davell Brown led the way with 16 points, knocking down a pair of threes and attacking the rim with confidence. Moses Oginni delivered one of his most complete efforts of the season with 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals, stuffing the stat sheet on both ends. Dylan Sayer added eight points and six boards, while the Falcons forced 14 steals as a team, creating consistent defensive pressure.
Despite facing a second-half run from Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake's first-half execution and defensive intensity showed what the group is capable of when locked in together.

Back at home, the Falcons faced another strong opponent in Santa Rosa. After a challenging first half, Folsom Lake responded with a much sharper and more aggressive second-half performance, nearly matching the Bear Cubs bucket-for-bucket.
The Falcons outscored their first-half total by more than double after the break, showing improved ball movement, better shot selection, and renewed defensive energy. The second-half response highlighted the team's composure and refusal to back down, continuing to compete through the final buzzer.
Building Forward
Across both games, Folsom Lake continued to show growth through effort plays, defensive activity, and contributions up and down the roster. Brown and Oginni provided leadership, the guards created pressure defensively, and the team consistently competed against two of the conference's top programs.
As the season progresses, the Falcons' fight, chemistry, and resilience remain clear — and those traits will continue to pay off as they look to turn close battles into wins down the stretch.
