Folsom Lake Makes History at Toys for Tots Tournament, Starts Season 10–0
Folsom Lake College women's basketball just delivered its most impressive weekend in program history. Competing in the Allan Hancock Toys for Tots Tournament, the Falcons swept all three games—defeating Cerritos, Allan Hancock, and Fresno—to improve to 10–0, officially marking the best season start in school history.
The Falcons showcased every facet of their identity this weekend: depth, defense, veteran composure, and the explosive scoring of star guard Jada Tupou, who was unstoppable across all three matchups.
Game 1: Folsom Lake 80, Cerritos 33
Folsom opened the tournament with pure dominance, jumping to a 47–9 halftime lead and suffocating Cerritos with relentless pressure.
The Falcons forced 29 turnovers and collected 19 steals, turning the defensive clinic into transition points. Offensively, the team spread the wealth—Jada Tupou (15 pts), Jasmine Clee (14), and Kelis Powell (12) led a balanced scoring attack.
Ava Schraeder anchored the interior with 10 rebounds, while the bench poured in 27 points.
Game 2: Folsom Lake 95, Allan Hancock 39
On the tournament's second night, the Falcons delivered one of their most complete performances of the season. They erupted for 35 points in the first quarter, holding host Allan Hancock scoreless in a jaw-dropping opening period.
Sophomore guard Jada Tupou was unstoppable—29 points on 13-of-15 shooting, plus 5 steals.
Folsom Lake shot 59% from the field, executed with 24 assists, and forced 24 turnovers, completely dictating pace and energy.
The win moved the Falcons to 9–0 and punched their ticket to the tournament finale.
Game 3: Folsom Lake 67, Fresno 55
In the toughest game of the tournament, Folsom Lake proved they can win tight, physical battles too. After Fresno stormed back with a huge third quarter run, the Falcons stayed poised and controlled the fourth.
Tupou again delivered when it mattered, dropping 25 points and finishing the tournament with an MVP-level performance.
Nyah Fortune pulled down 11 rebounds, while the defense stepped up late, holding Fresno to just 12 points in the final period.
The win secured the Toys for Tots Tournament Championship and cemented Folsom Lake's perfect 10–0 record.
