The Folsom Lake College women's basketball team delivered a strong two-game stretch in late January, combining balanced scoring, defensive pressure, and late-game composure to earn a home win over Modesto and a gritty road victory at Sacramento City.

Folsom Lake set the tone early against Modesto, jumping out to a commanding 23–10 lead after the first quarter and never looking back in a 74–58 win at The Lake.
The night doubled as Youth Night, creating a fun, family-friendly Friday night atmosphere inside the gym. Young fans packed the stands, bringing extra energy as the Falcons fed off the crowd from the opening tip. With kids cheering courtside and families filling the bleachers, the Falcons delivered an entertaining performance that gave the home crowd plenty to celebrate, making it a memorable night both on and off the court.
On the floor, Nyah Fortune led the Falcons with 16 points, knocking down four three-pointers while adding seven rebounds and five assists. Jada Tupou provided a spark with 12 points on efficient shooting, and Lexi Peters contributed 11 points and five assists to keep the offense moving.
Folsom Lake's depth proved to be a difference-maker, with multiple players making an impact across the stat sheet. Kelis Powell added 10 points off the bench, and the Falcons totaled 26 assists, showcasing unselfish ball movement. Defensively, Folsom Lake forced 21 turnovers and limited Modesto to 33.8 percent shooting, maintaining control throughout all four quarters.

Four days later, the Falcons showed their toughness on the road, edging Sacramento City 59–57 in a tightly contested matchup.
After falling behind early, Folsom Lake responded with a dominant defensive stretch, holding Sacramento City to just four points in the second quarter to swing momentum. The Falcons continued to battle through a physical second half, executing down the stretch with key stops and smart possessions to secure the two-point victory.
The road win highlighted the Falcons' defensive identity and composure in close games, as they withstood a late push from Sacramento City and closed out the contest away from home.
