Bio

Now in her eighth season at the helm of the Folsom Lake College women’s basketball program, Head Coach Ali Mollet has transformed the Falcons into one of the premier programs in the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A).

The 2024–25 season marked another milestone year, as Mollet guided FLC to a program-best 25–6 record, the most wins in school history, and a #8 state ranking. The Falcons reached the Elite 8 for the second straight year and finished 2nd in the Big 8 Conference, cementing themselves among California’s elite programs.

In 2023–24, the Falcons made their first-ever Elite 8 appearance, placed 2nd in the Big 8, and finished the season ranked #6 in the state. That same year, they were named the #1 academically ranked JUCO women’s basketball team in the country with a 3.54 GPA.

Mollet’s program is also known for developing players who succeed beyond FLC. Numerous Falcons have gone on to earn scholarships and compete at the four-year level, a reflection of her emphasis on player growth, character, and long-term opportunity.

Before coming to FLC, she spent six seasons as the assistant women's basketball coach at Division II Chico State under Brian Fogel. After joining Coach Fogel's staff in 2012, Mollet helped guide the Wildcats to a CCAA Conference championship title in 2013, two trips to the NCAA tournament, and a USA Today ranking as high as #9 in the nation.

Prior to her stint in Chico, Mollet served as Director of Women’s Basketball Operations at Sacramento State in 2010-11 and spent two seasons as an assistant at Sacramento City College from 2008-10.

Coach Mollet played her college ball at Sacramento State as part of the Hornets’ backcourt corps. She was a prep star at San Jose’s Del Mar High School, where she is still the school’s all-time assist leader, and a member of the Del Mar High School Athletic Hall of Fame. She received her bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Communications from Sacramento State in 2008 and obtained her master’s degree in Kinesiology/Sport Performance from Sac State in 2010.
