Bio
Donny Ribaudo has established Folsom Lake College Women’s Soccer as one of the premier programs in the country through his commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. Since the program’s inception, Ribaudo has built a culture centered around hard work, teamwork, and respect for the community, all while fostering an environment that prepares players for success at the four-year university level and beyond.
Under Ribaudo’s leadership, the Falcons have consistently performed at an elite level. In just his first 11 seasons, his teams have won seven conference titles, advanced to the Elite Eight seven times, reached the Final Four on four occasions, and successfully transferred over 70 student-athletes to the next level. His dedication to player development paid off in 2023 when he led Folsom Lake College to its first-ever CCCAA State Championship, finishing the season ranked No. 2 in the nation. That same year, Ribaudo and his staff were honored as the United Soccer Coaches National Coaching Staff of the Year.
Building on that success, Ribaudo guided the Falcons to back-to-back 3C2A State Championships in 2024, capping off a dominant season with a 23-1-2 record. His coaching excellence was recognized once again as he earned United Soccer Coaches Regional Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the second consecutive season. The team also secured its fourth Big 8 Conference Championship, and Ribaudo was named Big 8 Coach of the Year. Standout players Tea Reyes and Hope Martin-Northrup earned All-American honors, with Martin-Northrup being named National Player of the Year.
Beyond the accolades on the field, Ribaudo’s teams have consistently excelled in the classroom. The Falcons have maintained a 3.0 team GPA every season since the program began, earning recognition twice as the Scholar Team of the Year. Additionally, the program has produced six Scholar All-Americans and one National Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Ribaudo’s vision for the Folsom Lake College Women’s Soccer program extends far beyond winning championships. He is dedicated to providing an inclusive experience where student-athletes can build chemistry, develop leadership skills, and reach their academic and athletic goals. His staff has created a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare elite athletes for university-level competition while offering a full spectrum of academic support services to enhance student success.
With a track record of excellence and a commitment to player development, Donny Ribaudo continues to shape Folsom Lake College Women’s Soccer into one of the nation’s top programs, preparing student-athletes for success both on the field and in life.
